I worked nonstop in corporate America for 21 years and even though I was making a decent income, I had no life. I was working all the time, and even if I wasn't working, I was thinking about work.

I saw an ad placed by Mike and Michael Dorsey in a magazine. I talked to them and flew to Florida to meet with them, Cleve Pickens, and Dave Savula. As soon as I saw Dave's presentation and had dinner with the four of them, I knew I had found a home.

I was convinced by the credibility of the company, the need for the product, the affordability of the product, the lack of competition, the incredible compensation, and the right timing. Today, the timing is even better!

I have had the opportunity to enjoy a lifestyle that most people only dream about. I get to spend as much time with my children - Dawn, Misty, Ted and Tami - as I want to, whenever it fits in their schedule. It doesn't have to fit in mine because I can adapt my schedule to theirs. I take Tami to gymnastics on Fridays at 2:30 p.m. I play golf with my son Ted after school. I could never do these things if I had a job! It's all about the lifestyle!


Sunil and Lori Wadhwa

Sunil was a real estate investor and small business owner, and Lori was in sales and marketing with a major airline, USAir before this California couple found Pre-Paid Legal.

Fran Alexander
Cordova, CA

Before meeting her late husband, Woody, Fran Alexander was a single parent raising six kids, and she knew firsthand what it was like to be unable to afford attorney fees, yet not qualify for legal aid. Fran says this was the reason she was so excited when she was introduced to Pre-Paid Legal. She immediately saw the huge need for the services!

"After hearing a brief presentation, I realized that everyone I knew needed this service, and they didn't even know it was available," Fran explains.

Fran says that because of Pre-Paid Legal, they lived a life that most people only dream of. "We did what we wanted to, when we wanted to, have met and become friends with some of the most wonderful people in America, and built up a great inheritance for our children. We have eight children, 19 grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren."

When Woody became ill, Fran cared for him at home until he passed away, losing his battle with cancer on May 9, 1999. Though she wasn't able to work, she received a high income in 1998 and again in 1999, due to the efforts of their team. Fran doesn't plan to stop until every household in America has equal access to legal help and financial independence!

Woody said, what bothered him most about dying, was that he was going to miss the biggest explosion PPL has ever had. But he was happy knowing he was leaving Fran in such a good financial position, and that she wouldn't have to work if she didn't want to. He wanted all Associates to just get after it and help people have a better life. His spirit lives on.
